Name: Devon Hallowsfield
Age: 16/ 6th year (still a 6th year in the upcoming year, after CC graduates)
Appearance: Tall,with grey/blue eyes, pale skin, and sandy hair that always seems to need a haircut. He has a fairly distinct Southern US accent.
Personality: Appears to be easy-going, but he tends to brood when alone and is obviously hiding something about his past. He will sometime act like a playboy but that is only to have some kind of entertainment. He is still unsure of himself and his position within the Hogwarts school. He feels distant from most people. Coming from the US, he doesn't understand the prejudices towards Muggle-borns and Half-bloods.
Backstory: He transferred from the USA (Texas) after the accidental death of his brother. Always homechooled before coming to Hogwarts, he still gets lost within the castle. His personal tutor had been his uncle until he arrived at Hogwarts. He pushed Devon extremely hard. Hence, the Hogwarts curriculum is a little easier for him than others. He also knows dark magic because it was encouraged in his clan. The uncle had been the one to persuade him to attend Hogwarts after his brother's death.
In his 6th year, he found out the truth of the night of his brother's death. His uncle had pushed his brother further than his brother could handle with dark magic. Devon's brother died from the magical accident, and his uncle placed the blame on Devon. Devon had also been in on the lesson, but had blacked out before his brother's death. Devon had believed that he had caused his brother's death all of his 6th year which is why he ran away to Hogwarts in the first place. However.... once he found out about his uncle's involvement in that, as well as other nefarious actions during his time in England, Devon confronted his uncle. His uncle, in return, locked Devon in the basement for a long period of time until the Department of Magical Law Enforcement saved him. Devon missed most of his 6th year at Hogwarts with his uncle's trial and his own entrapment. In other words.... he will have to redo his 6th year at Hogwarts.
